The standard Brompton rear suspension is a simple rubber block. It works, but it doesn't do much. This shock absorber replaces it with a proper spring-based system — a stacked wave spring sandwiched between two aluminium end caps, held together with a bolt through the centre. The result is noticeably better absorption over rough surfaces, without changing how your bike handles or folds.
How it works
It fits directly into the same position as your stock suspension block — no modifications needed. Remove the old block, slide this in, tighten the bolt. The wave spring compresses under load and springs back, absorbing impacts your rubber block would just transfer straight to you.
